In honor of a day that’s all about LOVE, I wanted to share the stories of some very precious rescue pups in need of forever homes!
What better time than Valentine’s Day to bring a special someone into your life? These babies were rescued from MDAS, and need a warm bed and a snuggle buddy to call their own. Please share their stories, and check out some additional pets for adoption here.
Also, as always, PLEASE share all the animals currently available for adoption at MDAS. Until we get new leadership and new practices in place, these pets are in immediate danger of death. Hi, I’m Perry. I’m a super friendly two-year-old Sharpei mix. I love people and other dogs, and I’m looking for a home where I can get plenty of exercise and affection! I pull a little on a leash, but I’d be just perfect with a little training. I weigh about 50 pounds and am just a big loverboy. I get along great with kids and other dogs. Do you have room for a sweetheart like me in your house?
Hi, I’m Luca! I’m the first official dog that Diane ever rescued! Sadly, I’m still in boarding after all this time. I don’t know why anyone hasn’t come to adopt me. I’m such a sweet boy with the most adorable ears! I’m an eight-month-old lab mix who weighs about 40 pounds. I love to play and am great with everybody, although I don't generally like other large male dogs. Won’t you take me out of this kennel and into your home?
Hi! I’m Sampson! My previous owner starved me, then I ended up at MDAS, skin & bones! Luckily I was saved and I’ve been gaining weight! Even after how I was treated, I’m such a happy, sweet boy! I’m a four-year-old bulldog mix and weigh about 50 pounds, but I’m definitely going to gain a lot more weight. I’m full of energy and love to play and give kisses! I’m great with kids and other dogs - except I don't really like other large male dogs - and I just need a family who’ll spoil me and give me all the attention and love I never had before! Do you have room for me in your home and heart?
Hello world! I’m Willy! I’m a very special guy. I was found as a stray and taken to MDAS where I had no chance. I’m a one-year-old American bulldog mix and I have some kind of skeletal deformity where my body looks squished, but it doesn’t stop me one bit! I can walk just fine, and I’m such a happy boy. My kennel card at MDAS said “DEFORMED” and everyone walked right by me. I need to find a family who appreciates me for all that makes me unique! I get along great with everyone and am just the SWEETEST guy! My tail is always wagging! Do you have room for someone very special like me in your heart & home?
Hi, I'm Hannah/Hopper. I'm a senior lab mix, and very calm & sweet. I was saved from MDAS just before they were able to kill me, and I've had some rough times. I have heartworms and a hip problem, but nice people are working on getting me all better so I can find my forever home. I love to give kisses and I'd be so grateful for a home! Won't you give me a chance? I have plenty of years left for the right family!
